A biro is the minimum equipment for the architect profession, for the genesis of a new project, for a note, for a sketch, for a to-do list.

+ is the awareness of the dimension of the team and its openness to possible future scenarios, commixtures, exchanges and collaborations.

biro+ is an architecture and interior design firm born of the desire of its founders to make the most of their different backgrounds in the service of a common goal: to find reasonable and solid answers to the everyday issues of human living at various scales - from domestic to urban – working with different operators, prom public to private.

The studio's work includes a wide research activity which, together with strong professional skills and a network of external consultants, helps to control the entire design process, from preliminary sketches to completion.  

biro+ aims to have an active part in the local growth while strongly believing in an international approach. The studio is based in Bari and Milan and deals with projects both in Italy and in Europe, combining the recognition of local details and an accurate material choice with a keen approach to advanced technologies and international composition languages.

Luca Bifone

He graduates from the Polytechnic University of Bari in 2016.
From 2016 to 2019 he works as an architect for (dp)a STUDIO in Bari, dealing with different scales of design, from public building to private residence.

Daniela Martielli

Architect, cofounder

She graduates from the Polytechnic University of Bari in 2015.
Dal 2015 al 2018 lavora come architetto nello studio Netti Architetti a Bari e si occupa di progettazione a tutte le scale di edifici pubblici e residenze private, utilizzando anche la tecnologia BIM. Nel 2019 frequenta il master in Exibit design presso lo IED a Roma.

Nicola Martielli

Architect, cofounder

He graduates from the Polytechnic University of Bari in 2015.
From 2015 to 2018 he works as an architect for the firm Blocher partners (Stuttgart), dealing with design at a large scale and studying the functional transformation of public buildings in Europe and Asia. During the German experience he wins several international competitions, together with the creative team.

Nunzia Moschetta

Architect, cofounder

She graduates from the Polytechnic University of Bari in 2015. In 2016 she collaborates, thanks to the Erasmus program, with the firm Atelier d'architecture Pierre Hebbelinck et Pierre de Wit in Liége, particularly focusing on reuse of buildings and extension of theatres and museums. From 2016 to 2017 she works as an architect for the German firm Haascookzemmrich studio 2050 in Stuttgart working especially with the executive planning team.

Giusi Paterno

Architect, cofounder

She graduates from the Polytechnic University of Bari in 2015.
In 2014 she collaborates with the Spanish firm Gravalos-Di Monte arquitectos in Zaragoza. From 2016 to 2019 she works as an architect for the firm Archistart Studio, in Lecce and Milan. She collaborates with the organization Archistart in the coordination of international architecture workshops and public spaces reactivation projects. She is actively part of the Rebelarchitette team for the drawing up of the issue Womanarchitects.

Francesca Suaria

Architect, cofounder

She graduates from the Polytechnic University of Bari in 2015.
From 2015 to 2016 she collaborates with DEDA & Florio Architects, Bari.
From 2016 to 2018 she works as an architect in the Kjellgren Kaminsky in Gothenburg (Sweden). From 2018 to 2020 she collaborates with Lombardini22 studio in Mila, where she deals with interior desing and space working. She is assistant professor at the Department of Architecture and Spatial Planning pf the Politecnic University of Milan where she teaches architectural composition.
